Job Summary

Lead construction engineering and inspection activities for highway and bridge projects under the direction of the Project Engineer. You’ll coach and mentor inspection teams, maintain accurate project records, and serve as the go-to technical expert for complex field inspections and audits. The role also sets inspection guidance and safety protocols, and represents AECOM with clients, regulatory bodies, and senior leadership on high-profile technical matters.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to subordinate inspection teams and drive continuous improvement.
•Establish and maintain comprehensive project records with accurate, complete, accessible documentation.
•Serve as the technical expert for complex field inspections and audits and provide clear inspection guidance to ensure consistent quality standards.
•Set direction and goals for inspection teams aligned with project objectives and organizational strategies.
•Oversee audit strategy development and implementation for the area of expertise, including developing safety protocols and acting as spokesperson for technical issues with clients and regulatory bodies.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 85 - 95 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma plus 10 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education).
•Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites and offices, with a Motor Vehicle Records review required as a condition of employment.
•Ability to provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to inspection teams.
•Experience supervising/managing less experienced inspectors.
•Willingness to work flexible schedules as needed for projects, including overnight work.
