Job Summary

Work on IC physical layout within Broadcom’s Library Group, covering memory, I/O, and standard cells. Apply layout guidelines and new process rules to deliver quality layouts and verification on schedule, including LVS/DRC/ERC and related checks. Plan and execute floor-planning and hierarchy/chip integration, keep up with evolving methodologies, and collaborate effectively with the library team.

Key Responsibilities

•Apply layout guidelines (standard cells, I/O memories), new process rules, and technical requirements to produce quality layouts.
•Create and manage schedule timelines and perform layout floor-planning.
•Complete quality layout and verification within planned schedules without supervision for experienced engineers.
•Get up to speed quickly on new methodologies, remain open to new ideas, and communicate well with the library team.
•Support memory layout work including physical verification such as LVS, DRC, ERC, antenna checks, and electro-migration considerations.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 2–3 years of experience in IC layout with strong layout knowledge.
•Experience with Cadence layout and Cadence schematic capture.
•Experience using CALIBRE and Hercules verification tools.
•Strong layout expertise in submicron processes (e.g., 16nm, 7nm, 5nm, 2nm, 1.4nm and below).
•Experience with digital (standard cell, memory, I/O) layout; analog layout experience is a plus.
