Job Summary

Join the Farm Fresh division as a Laboratory Officer, ensuring product safety and quality through microbiological and chemical analyses, meticulous record-keeping, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. You will calibrate and maintain lab equipment, support audits, and provide data-driven insights to multiple teams to help GMG meet food safety standards across manufacturing operations.

Job Function: Manufacturing & Production Operations

Key Responsibilities

•Set up and calibrate laboratory equipment, consistently document test results, and report variances or anomalies to the Quality team.
•Coordinate with the production team for regular sample collection, conduct microbiological and chemical analyses, and ensure environmental and sanitation standards in the lab are maintained.
•Maintain records for traceability, contribute to the training of lab staff, and participate in safety and quality audits.
•Ensure that laboratory instruments and equipment are properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning correctly. Report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel for repair.
•Accurately record all test results, observations, and relevant data in lab logs or digital systems. Prepare reports that summarize findings and results for management or other departments.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in food science or a related field.
•Minimum 3-4 years of laboratory experience, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
•Experience in food safety testing, quality control, and quality assurance.
•Strong knowledge of laboratory testing methods, sample management, and documentation.
•Experience operating laboratory equipment and performing basic troubleshooting.
