Job Summary

Join WSP’s established water team as a Wastewater Network Modeller to support hydraulic modelling for the UK’s largest regulated water clients. You’ll help interrogate, enhance, and build network models to assess asset performance, provide technical input to urban drainage projects, and support feasibility studies and optioneering. Work across award-winning teams of 600+ professionals, using tools like InfoWorks ICM/CS, TUFLOW, and GIS platforms to prepare reports and drawings and collaborate with clients.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide support on hydraulic modelling studies for regulated water industry clients using InfoWorks ICM/CS and other modelling software.
•Interrogate, enhance, and build network models to assess and understand asset performance.
•Provide technical input on urban drainage projects and support wastewater team delivery of current and future projects.
•Support feasibility studies and optioneering and use network models to evaluate and optimise asset performance.
•Prepare reports and supporting drawings, define work for field investigation teams, and coordinate client and internal project meetings.

Key Requirements

•Degree in a relevant discipline (engineering, environmental science, geography).
•Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE/CIWEM) or working towards chartership.
•Sound knowledge and experience in urban drainage modelling, including checking technical outputs of others.
•Extensive hydraulic modelling experience using industry-standard software, specifically InfoWorks ICM (or similar).
•Familiarity with industry-standard geographical information systems (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo).
