Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
  • •Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
  • •Facilitate a positive client experience by creating a conducive environment.
  • •Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
  • •Create a learning environment that builds staff competence, and ensure stock and equipment are accurately charted.

Key Requirements

  • •Diploma leading to registration as a General Nurse OR a 4-year Nursing Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing.
  • •Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Midwifery (desired).
  • •Basic life support trained, including ACLS and ATLS (and PALS for specialised wards).
  • •Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
  • •Proficiency in nursing processes including patient assessment, pharmacology, infection prevention and control, and nursing record keeping.
