Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment across electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines (gas and diesel), transmissions (manual and automatic), clutches, differentials, and related components.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions; use tools and instruments (e.g., handheld computers and pressure gauges) to identify issues.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation, and maintain the service vehicle with safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders (RO) per company standards by uploading documentation and pictures using the company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application while working with customers and management/support as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years of related experience (or equivalent combination including degrees/certifications or 5+ years experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply the required set of hand tools for the role.
  • •Candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Hold a current and valid DOT medical card (or DOT physical if the medical card has four months or less remaining) and be at least 21 years or older; maintain a valid driver’s license and Driver Qualification File.
