Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee daily SOC operations across 1LoD and 2LoD security teams, including incident detection and response monitoring.
  • •Own and lead the incident response plan and team, participating in a 24/7 leadership rota and out-of-hours support as required.
  • •Assess and communicate business, operational, regulatory, and reputational risk from security incidents to support executive and regulatory decision-making.
  • •Develop and maintain a threat intelligence program, translating intelligence into measurable business risk and integrating it into operations and response.
  • •Support security assurance through risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and threat modelling as part of DevSecOps and change activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
  • •Minimum 10 years of information security experience in the banking industry, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • •Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are highly desirable.
  • •Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST, plus end-to-end incident management experience.
  • •Experience with threat modelling (MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDE, OWASP) and understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
