Job Summary

Install and terminate audiovisual cabling, configure and assemble AV equipment racks, and perform rack fabrication and wiring for AVI-SPL contracted projects. Lead installation crews on larger, more complex jobs by coordinating progress with the Project Manager and ensuring delivery across time, scope, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Read schematics/blueprints, test point-to-point cabling and functionality, support minor programming changes, manage jobsite tools/equipment, and provide on-site client training while traveling to customer sites.

•Perform installation tasks for contracted projects, including cable pulls, cable terminations, and installing system equipment and components.
•Lead and direct installation crews on larger projects by coordinating and reporting progress to the Project Manager.
•Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints to execute wiring and rack fabrication work.
•Test and troubleshoot point-to-point cabling and system functionality; support minor programming changes for control and DSP systems.
•Act as a customer liaison on site, coordinate change requests with the Project Manager, and provide client training as needed.

Key Requirements

•4–6 years of audiovisual, electronics, or related industry installation experience.
•Advanced proficiency installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (e.g., HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic) and wiring methods like conduit runs and cable trays.
•Advanced understanding of audiovisual systems (projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing, digital signage, and control systems) and related test equipment.
•Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints, using hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
•Valid and current AVIXA CTS General Certification; minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
