Job Summary

Manage the full lifecycle of internal base funds and external research grants, covering pre-award, award acceptance, execution, post-award administration, and closeout. Ensure compliance with sponsor requirements, institutional policies, and regulations through accurate tracking, reporting, and periodic reviews. Partner with faculty, researchers, and Finance to support proposal development, budget oversight, invoice/report submission, and reconciliations, while improving grant administration systems and workflows using automation tools.

Key Responsibilities

•Administer the full lifecycle of internal base funds and external research grants, including pre-award, post-award administration, and closeout.
•Identify and assess funding opportunities, and guide faculty and researchers on application procedures, eligibility, and compliance requirements.
•Oversee post-award financial management and reporting, including budget/expenditure tracking, cost-sharing monitoring, invoice and progress report submissions, and reconciliations.
•Develop and refine grant management systems and policies, optimize workflows for submissions and compliance tracking, and support adoption of grant management software.
•Maintain a centralized grants database and conduct compliance reviews, ensuring timely submission of required financial and programmatic reports and providing compliance training.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business administration, finance, public administration, or higher education administration.
•At least 5 years of experience in research/grants administration or financial management in a higher education or research institution.
•Strong understanding of government funding practices and research compliance regulations and policies.
•Experience developing grant proposals, budgets, and reports, and managing grant-funded projects with financial tracking and compliance.
•Ability to provide training and support to research teams on grant management best practices and compliance requirements.
