Job Summary

Design, implement, simulate, and test control and graphic application software for power plant use cases on Emerson’s Ovation platform, based on competitor DCS/PLC systems. Own site walk-downs and I/O database preparation, participate in design reviews and Factory Acceptance Tests, and support verification of I/O interfaces through commissioning and start-up. Coordinate with customers and internal teams while following safety and security requirements.

•Design and implement power plant control and protection systems.

•Lead Design Review Meetings (DRM), Pre-FAT, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and cleanup after FAT.
•Verify and functionally test I/O interfaces to field devices and supervise control system installation, commissioning, and start-up.

Key Requirements

•4 years bachelor’s degree in ECE, EEE, I&C, or E&I.
•5 to 10 years of experience in power plant process, project engineering, and commissioning.
•Process knowledge of HRSG, boiler, and BOP control systems.
•Control design, implementation, process sequencing, and protection philosophies for sub-critical/super-critical fossil-fired and combined cycle power plants.
•Proficiency with ISA and SAMA logic symbols, P&IDs, and electrical/mechanical/hydraulic schematics.
