Key Responsibilities

  • •Prioritise safety and health by reinforcing safety culture, identifying risks, managing safety systems, and investigating incidents with root-cause analysis.
  • •Oversee the work management process, ensuring SAP system workflow integrity and data accuracy, and compare WM and process KPIs to identify gaps.
  • •Refine planning, scheduling, and resourcing criteria and standards, including work orders/requests/notifications, short-/medium-/long-term scheduling, and contractor and labour resourcing.
  • •Advise on maintenance planning and scheduling effectiveness, ensure preventive vs corrective balance, manage WK1–WK2 locking-in and WK3–WK12 risk mitigation, and optimise maintenance plans.
  • •Support availability and backlog management by compiling planning/status reports, managing spares for WK0–WK12, and ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, and permitting obligations.

Key Requirements

  • •3–5 years of relevant experience in the AA Operating Model, especially Work Management.
  • •5 years of SAP experience.
  • •Maintenance and scheduling experience within the mining industry.
  • •Grade 12 Certificate / N3 Technical and a National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (NQF6).
  • •Advanced proficiency in MS Office packages; knowledge of risk management techniques, budgeting tools and methodologies.
