Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and establish end-to-end manufacturing processes for gear and shaft components, including turning, hobbing, shaping, grinding, and finishing operations.
  • •Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, and Control Plans specific to gear and shaft manufacturing.
  • •Analyze and improve process capability (Cp/Cpk) for critical characteristics and standardize processes through SOPs.
  • •Implement and validate error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) solutions and coordinate heat treatment processes with pre-HT and post-HT controls.
  • •Plan and execute process validations, trial runs, and Run@Rate activities; manage engineering changes (ECN/PCN) and support process risk assessments and EHS compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •BE/BTech in Mechanical or Production Engineering with minimum 8 years experience, or a Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering with minimum 11 years experience.
  • •Strong knowledge of gear and shaft manufacturing processes including CNC turning, hobbing, shaping, grinding, and inspection.
  • •Experience developing and maintaining PFMEA and Control Plans, with capability to apply SPC.
  • •Ability to analyze and improve process capability (Cp/Cpk) for critical characteristics such as gear profile and surface finish.
  • •Knowledge of heat treatment coordination and IATF 16949 compliance.
