Job Summary

Design, integrate, and optimize complex optical systems for semiconductor metrology/inspection, spanning early prototypes through NPI. You’ll lead system-level integration, hands-on optical alignment and calibration, and translate customer and product needs into system specifications across optical, mechanical, electrical, and software domains. Own system requirements, trade studies, testing, data analysis, and documentation, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and interfacing with OEM vendors to deliver manufacturable, high-quality solutions.

•Lead system-level integration, setup, and debug of complex optical systems including illumination, imaging, and detection subsystems.
•Perform hands-on optical alignment, calibration, and performance verification in lab and system environments.
•Contribute to development of metrology or inspection platforms by translating requirements into system-level specifications.
•Own system requirements definition, error budget, trade studies, and architecture decisions across optical, mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
•Support prototype development, design verification, system characterization, and NPI readiness, including experiments and performance validation.

•Bachelor’s degree or higher in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
•7+ years of experience developing optical, metrology, or inspection systems.
•Hands-on experience with optical system setup, alignment, and troubleshooting.
•Proficiency in Python and MATLAB for data analysis, modeling, and prototype evaluation.
•Experience with metrology or inspection system projects and the full lifecycle from prototype to NPI.
