Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, air conditioning, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines (gas and diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using appropriate test instruments and conduct road tests to confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Maintain required safety, health, environmental, and federal compliance (OSHA, EPA, DOT) while documenting work and DOT forms using repair orders (RO) on a company-issued iOS device.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or alternative combination such as additional degree/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Obtain and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the role.
  • •ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Ability to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity).
  • •Must be at least 21 years or older with a valid state-of-residence driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
