Job Summary

Lead daily production operations at the St. Charles plant, overseeing the full production process from yield tracking to real-time adjustments. Ensure safety and USDA/HACCP compliance through inspections, audits, and ergonomic initiatives while enforcing food safety/quality plans and safe operating procedures. Drive operational efficiency by analyzing yields and variances, and improve workflows to reduce downtime and costs. Train and coach hourly employees, run line meetings, and oversee maintenance and equipment setup to keep operations at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform daily safety inspections on the production floor, take corrective action, and lead safety audits/ergonomic initiatives while ensuring HACCP and USDA regulatory adherence.
•Maintain product quality by enforcing Food Safety and Food Quality plans and training employees on safe operating procedures, including lock-out/tag-out.
•Track and analyze production yields, efficiencies, and variances; partner with Operations Managers/Supervisors to improve workflows and equipment use to minimize downtime and reduce costs.
•Direct and guide hourly production employees during shifts, including daily floor walk-throughs and monthly line meetings to align on safety, quality, and production goals.
•Analyze product performance metrics and recommend continuous improvement ideas to enhance efficiency, minimize costs, and maintain quality; oversee routine equipment/facility maintenance and setup.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 55,000 - 82,500 annually

•Bachelor’s degree in Business (or related) plus 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Experience acting as a lead by training, coaching, mentoring, or managing a process or project.
•Strong oral and written communication skills, including analytical and math abilities to lead problem-solving for complex process issues.
•Ability to motivate, train, and coach employees to achieve peak performance while fostering a positive, respectful, team-oriented environment.
•Adaptable to fast-paced conditions, including heat and cold, and willing to work long hours and weekends when needed.
