Job Summary

Assist the Senior Treaty Underwriter in managing direct insurance and treaty reinsurance underwriting for Dorinco, supporting revenue and profitability goals. Evaluate, price, and structure reinsurance transactions across a diversified property and casualty portfolio, assess risk exposures and terms, negotiate placements with brokers and counterparties, and monitor portfolio performance. Partner with internal stakeholders to design and execute innovative programs while maintaining documentation, compliance, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the Senior Treaty Underwriter with execution, analysis, management, and monitoring of treaty reinsurance underwriting activities.
•Evaluate, price, and structure reinsurance transactions across a diversified portfolio.
•Assess risk exposures, terms and conditions, and coverage structures to ensure profitability and alignment with risk appetite.
•Negotiate reinsurance placements with brokers and counterparties.
•Monitor portfolio performance (loss trends, rate adequacy, and capital utilization) and maintain underwriting documentation, compliance, and governance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in insurance, finance, risk management, actuarial science, accounting, or related field (or relevant military experience at or above specified U.S./Canadian rank).
•5+ years of relevant experience in insurance/reinsurance underwriting, marketing, or commercial insurance operations and/or other relevant experience.
•Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship/support is available, including for any U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
•Prior experience in insurance or reinsurance underwriting is desirable.
•Master’s degree (Business Administration or Insurance) and professional insurance designations are preferred.
