Job Summary

Lead Ripple Treasury’s Hedge Accounting managed services practice, spanning FX and interest rate risk. Own delivery performance, staffing, and operational health end to end, including client satisfaction, KPIs, escalations, and scalable workflows. Forecast capacity for a growing client portfolio, step in on the most complex hedge accounting issues (e.g., contested de-designations and audit challenges), and provide strategic hedge accounting advisory under ASC 815 and IFRS 9.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and run the day-to-day operating model for hedge accounting delivery from trade capture through close, disclosure, and audit response across FX and interest rate programs.
•Lead Hedge Accounting Managers and Derivative Accountants; set performance expectations and provide coaching to develop technical depth and delivery discipline.
•Drive resource planning and capacity forecasting for a growing client portfolio, including staffing decisions and workforce planning.
•Set delivery KPIs, step in on moments of trouble, and build and continuously improve workflows, templates, and close checklists.
•Serve as the senior technical expert and escalation point for complex hedge accounting issues, including contested de-designations and auditor-challenged positions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 196,000 - 240,000 annually

Key Requirements

•CPA required; advanced degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
•12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 8-10 years focused on derivative instruments and hedge accounting under ASC 815 and IFRS 9 across FX and interest rate risk.
•5+ years managing and developing accounting or finance teams, including managing managers.
•Proven experience running the operational side of a service practice, including staffing/capacity planning, KPI tracking, workflow design, and delivery quality management.
•Deep, current technical fluency in ASC 815 and IFRS 9, able to research, interpret, and defend complex hedge accounting positions.
