Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build distributed microservice components in Addepar’s calculation engine - a data intensive application.
  • •Scale the Java-based calculation engine to 100x larger workloads using time series analytics database technologies.
  • •Contribute to decision processes around scaling with data consistency, throughput, speed, operability and cost.
  • •Profile and improve system efficiency in a highly concurrent platform.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 107,000 - 168,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of software engineering or equivalent experience
  • •Experience with object-oriented programming languages
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • •Ability to explore complex problems spaces objectively from multiple points of view using legacy tools and modern technologies
  • •General familiarity with Java, Python, SQL, SQS, relational databases and key-value stores; Kubernetes; Linux proficiency and shell scripting
