Job Summary

Provide technical leadership for reliable, optimized operation of Husky PET injection molding systems and associated automation. Coordinate injection maintenance activities including advanced troubleshooting, mold changeovers, process startup, and system integration across servo-hydraulic drives, hot runner technologies, cooling/thermal management, and robotics. Use SAP, FMS, and RealSPC analytics to track performance (OEE, scrap, defects) and lead predictive/preventative maintenance, root-cause analysis, and technician training.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide advanced technical oversight of Husky GLine/HyPET injection molding platforms and act as the SME for diagnostics, machine functionality, and system integration.
•Lead complex mold changeovers and system setup to minimize downtime and ensure validated startup, including installation/alignment, hydraulic/pneumatic/cooling integration, hot runner verification, and valve gate calibration.
•Develop and implement predictive and preventative maintenance programs for injection molding equipment and auxiliary systems, tracking performance and maintenance history using SAP and monitoring tools.
•Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis (RCFA) across hydraulic pressure instability, servo drive faults, injection unit wear, mold cooling inefficiencies, valve gate malfunctions, and electrical/PLC communication faults.
•Monitor production performance using FMS/RealSPC/SAP analytics and recommend process or equipment improvements based on OEE, scrap/defect rates, and cycle time metrics; mentor and train maintenance technicians and operators.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED; some post-secondary technical or vocational education preferred (millwright/electrical/hydraulics/pneumatics/industrial maintenance).
•Minimum five years of experience with high-speed injection molding equipment, preferably Husky PET injection molding systems.
•Advanced ability to lead injection maintenance, including machine diagnostics, mold changeovers, and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and process-related issues.
•Experience developing predictive and preventative maintenance strategies and maintaining injection molding auxiliary systems (screws/barrels, servo-hydraulic pumps/valves, hot runner systems, cooling systems, and automation interfaces).
•Working knowledge of SAP maintenance systems and basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office), with strong communication and analytical problem-solving (DMAIC).
