Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive and lead legal aspects of group and regional projects/initiatives across the Asia Pacific region, guiding AZAP OE legal teams.
  • •Lead and manage legal workstreams for M&A, restructurings, and joint venture transactions, coordinating with Group Legal and regional teams and managing external counsel as needed.
  • •Provide legal and regulatory advice and transaction support for complex regional transactions, including corporate partnerships and strategic transactions.
  • •Provide business-oriented legal advice for contracts entered by AZAP and Allianz entities in Singapore and negotiate/draft commercial agreements from NDAs to cross-border transactional documents.
  • •Monitor and support corporate governance and corporate secretarial matters and provide legal training to employees as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Law degree (LLB) or equivalent with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a major law firm.
  • •Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating legal agreements, including transactional agreements and IT agreements.
  • •Strong legal drafting skills and attention to detail, with ability to propose commercial legal solutions.
  • •Sound experience in corporate law and corporate governance.
  • •Fluent verbal and written English and experience/knowledge in applicable laws such as Europe’s AI Act, DORA, and GDPR (with additional insurance/financial services experience a plus).
