Key Responsibilities

  • •Formulate and design data solutions to meet requirements from business lines and operational departments across reporting and analytics use cases.
  • •Set and promote the strategy for the Data and Analytics technical platform, including ongoing technology updates.
  • •Develop solution designs for a portfolio of projects across SMBC EMEA and oversee designs produced by others.
  • •Collaborate with Data Office and other IT/business departments to understand use cases, define technical strategy, and drive consistent application.
  • •Communicate and explain solution designs to technical delivery teams and escalate issues to senior data leadership.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep and broad experience developing technical data solutions in large or medium-sized enterprises in a similar role.

  • •Proven experience with data integration technologies, including event-driven architectures.
  • •Strong experience with data architectures such as hub-and-spoke, data lakes, data fabrics, and lakehouses.
