Key Responsibilities

  • •Own a defined area of the Core Payments roadmap with the Senior PM and engineering leads on your squad.
  • •Write clear technical specifications, including API contracts, transaction flows, state transitions, error codes, and acceptance criteria.
  • •Reason about edge cases (timeouts, retries, partial failures, crashes) and specify correct behavior for each.
  • •Collaborate daily with engineers on system design and coordinate with adjacent squads (Compliance, Core Banking, channel teams).
  • •Partner with operations and finance on reconciliation and settlement, and use data to monitor success rates, latency, and failure modes.

Key Requirements

  • •3–5 years of product management experience, with meaningful time on technical or infrastructure products (payments, fintech, ledger, banking, or a comparable backend/platform domain).
  • •Technical depth with APIs, data models, and system design discussions; able to follow a transaction through multiple systems and spot gaps.
  • •Strong end-to-end understanding of payments/financial transactions, including authorization, settlement, reconciliation, and failure modes (or the ability to learn fast).
  • •Proven experience writing high-quality technical specifications and working closely with engineering teams to ship reliable systems.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication, able to make complex technical topics clear to non-technical stakeholders.
