Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement satellite GNC software supporting mission concepts of operations across all phases of flight, including contingency scenarios.
  • •Design concepts of operations balancing thermal constraints, power budgets, momentum management, contact scheduling, and payload pointing needs.
  • •Develop, validate, and improve onboard GNC algorithms to deliver autonomous, fault-tolerant navigation and control performance.
  • •Update and maintain GNC software configurations for satellite design revisions and mission sets.
  • •Perform high-fidelity time-domain 6DOF modeling and simulation, including Monte Carlo analysis and heavy involvement in integrated hardware-in-the-loop testing.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, computer science/software engineering, or an engineering discipline.
  • •Software development experience in C++, Python, and/or MATLAB/Simulink.
  • •Experience with attitude determination and/or state estimation algorithms.
  • •Understanding of unit testing, regression testing, and CI/CD practices in a complex software environment.
  • •Experience owning, designing, testing, and flying real-world GNC solutions (preferably on space vehicles).
