Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build core streaming infrastructure that decouples process data access from the live execution engine.
  • •Develop customer-facing streaming capabilities, including integration approaches with Kafka.
  • •Help rebuild how analytics consumes and serves process data at scale, moving it off the engine’s critical path.
  • •Make foundational architecture decisions for consistency and durability across a distributed streaming pipeline.
  • •Participate in L3 support and on-call rotations with Support and SRE to investigate production issues and improve the product.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years as a backend engineer with strong focus on distributed or data-intensive systems, using Java.
  • •Hands-on experience with object storage systems (S3, GCS, Azure or similar) and reliable idempotent upload/commit protocols.
  • •Experience with Kafka or similar streaming/event-log systems.
  • •Solid grounding in distributed systems fundamentals, even without deep execution-engine experience.
  • •Proven ability to drive technical initiatives through ambiguity end-to-end, coordinating across teams and delivering predictable outcomes.
