Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, oversee, and execute ICS reporting and analysis and act as a subject matter expert regarding ICS.
  • •Interpret and translate regulatory requirements into actionable plans while ensuring compliance with the ICS technical specifications.
  • •Own, review, and analyze model outputs and spreadsheet calculations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • •Present and explain results and findings to senior management, Sumitomo Life, regulatory authorities, and other key stakeholders as needed.
  • •Collaborate with external auditors and consultants to stay informed of ICS developments and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of insurance actuarial experience with a strong quantitative background
  • •Bachelor's degree or equivalent with mathematics coursework
  • •Finished actuarial exams (FSA) or career ASAs with extensive experience
  • •Deep understanding of Insurance Capital Standard (ICS) requirements and calculations
  • •Proficiency in SQL or Python and strong Excel (actuarial modeling) skills
