Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design, engineering, and delivery of grid modernization, high voltage substation, renewables, battery storage, and powerline projects (>110kV) from concept through commissioning support.
  • •Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless technical project execution, including substation primary, cables, protection & control, civils, overhead lines, and environmental scopes.
  • •Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation; oversee network modelling and related power system studies.
  • •Oversee site installation and commissioning works, including adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • •Provide technical guidance and mentorship, support bids/proposals with risk assessment and cost estimation, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and represent AECOM with professionalism as primary technical point of contact.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Power Systems engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Transmission & Distribution/renewables/large infrastructure design experience across multi-disciplinary scope.
  • •Extensive experience designing and delivering high voltage (>110kV) substation and powerline projects in the Netherlands.
  • •Experience with Dutch TSO/DSO requirements and the Dutch electricity market.
  • •Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex power infrastructure projects.
