Key Responsibilities

  • •Enforce and communicate bulk material handling safety procedures/safety regulations for Deepwater Terminal operations.
  • •Conduct daily safety meetings, ensure inspections are completed and filed, and submit daily crew turnover reports.
  • •Train subordinates in bulk material safety requirements and rail car/truck unloading procedures for domestic shipments and unit trains.
  • •Direct and assist mechanical/hydraulic maintenance and troubleshooting of conveyor machinery and heavy equipment; diagnose malfunctions and direct repairs.
  • •Maintain inspection/time/production records, prepare daily work schedules, and monitor/report spare parts inventory/shortages and work problems for resolution.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • •3–5 years of experience required (or an equivalent combination of education/experience).
  • •Knowledge of EPA and OSHA requirements and regulations; must enforce safety regulations and complete required safety training/certifications.
  • •Must be able to effectively communicate verbally, understand written work orders/policies, and communicate via radio or hand signals.
  • •Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Word and various operating systems) and must possess/maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and driving record.
