Job Summary

Lead the day-to-day and strategic operations of a large, complex plant to meet financial and operating objectives for ARP and the business unit. Own safety, production, maintenance, warehouse, and quality performance while driving Six Sigma improvements, standard-cost execution, and on-time delivery within customer specifications. Serve as the senior local representative for compliance with the Amcor code of conduct, regulatory requirements, and plant policies, while managing and developing departmental leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Direct day-to-day and strategic plant activities to achieve safety, production, maintenance, warehouse, quality, customer relations, HR, and finance objectives.
•Practice and implement Six Sigma practices to improve plant performance and efficiency.
•Control operating expenses to meet target variance goals and identify/justify capital expenditures.
•Develop and manage a business plan incorporating ISO, FDA, other government regulations, and continuous improvement goals.
•Manage departmental managers and oversee hiring, talent development, performance management, employee engagement, and employee relations issues to maintain safety and ethical compliance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Material Science, Engineering or Packaging preferred).

•Ability to read and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
•Ability to write reports and business correspondence and to present information in group environments.
•Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics inference, and fundamentals of geometry, trigonometry, and statistics.
