Job Summary

Lead and manage the technical and commercial delivery of electrical design packages across rail infrastructure projects, focusing on high voltage (HV) substations, traction power, and LV design. Act as Lead Engineer/CRE/Checker to deliver on time and within budget, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage technical and commercial delivery of electrical design packages for rail infrastructure, focused on HV substations, traction power, and LV design.
•Develop concept and detailed designs, including technical reports, electrical calculations, and design specifications.
•Review CAD drawings and maintain thorough documentation for all design work.
•Act as Lead Engineer/CRE/Checker to ensure outputs are delivered on time, to budget, and to client expectations.
•Mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians, provide technical/commercial oversight, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations including CDM and Health & Safety legislation.

•12+ years of experience in railway electrification and power design and delivery.
•Experience leading projects as a checker, CRE, or Lead Engineer.
•Proven experience in HV substation design, traction power, and LV design (preferably for rail infrastructure projects).
