Job Summary

Conduct teller transactions with speed and accuracy while meeting service quality standards. Safeguard bank assets and support bank growth by promoting and cross-selling bank products and services. Set up, close, and balance a teller station; record sales of monetary instruments; assist customers in person or by telephone; and ensure compliance by completing required BSA/AML and other training. May lift coin bags up to 50 lbs and help balance vault/ATM/night drop and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities

•Receive, pay out cash, and handle negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
•Set up, close, and balance the teller station, including recording sales of monetary instruments.
•Assist customers with inquiries in person or by telephone and maintain a neat, well-stocked teller area.
•Cross-sell bank products and services, follow account protection and safety/soundness limits, and adhere to bank policies and procedures.
•Complete BSA/AML and other compliance training as assigned and support balancing vault, ATM, night drop, and coin machine as needed.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED, plus 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
•Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations.
•Basic math skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, and perform these skills using money.
•Ability to use common sense to carry out simple multi-step instructions and handle standardized situations with limited variables.
•Cash handling experience in a business environment.
