Job Summary

Operate the data plane of a sovereign Google Cloud region, owning durability, availability, and recoverability across enterprise storage and mission-critical databases. Work on PostgreSQL at scale, backup/DR pipelines with restore validation, and Kubernetes stateful storage via CSI drivers. Build and automate the data infrastructure using Terraform and related tooling, lead incident response and post-mortems, and participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation with Google Cloud SRE teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate enterprise storage platforms (SAN, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, tape and backup libraries).
•Own PostgreSQL operations at scale, including replication, failover, performance, and capacity.
•Design and test backup/DR pipelines with real restore validation.
•Operate Kubernetes CSI drivers and stateful workload storage; drive stateful reliability engineering for durability and capacity.
•Handle data incident response, run post-mortems, continuously improve reliability, and participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotation.
