Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs for trucks and trailers in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake, cooling, steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and trailer systems.
  • •Inspect, test, and evaluate defective equipment using test instruments; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including reconciliation.
  • •Document work and complete DOT and other required forms according to company standards; maintain service-vehicle safety checks and compliance with OSHA/EPA/DOT policies.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED with 3 years’ related experience (or an equivalent combination of education/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply the hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
  • •Pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years old and have a valid state-of-residence driver’s license with required safe-driving/MVR review and ability to maintain a Driver Qualification File.
