Key Responsibilities

  • •Own ongoing curation, accuracy, and coverage of the Map the Web dataset across major login/signup categories, including the targeted rules powering Fill Assist.
  • •Design and maintain the data model and versioning strategy for site-specific field mappings, including backward-compatibility across supported browser versions.
  • •Build and maintain tooling/process to validate rule quality and safety before publication to prevent unsafe rules shipping without heuristic fallback.
  • •Triage inbound reports of autofill defects (support tickets, regression findings) and determine whether fixes belong in Map the Web or another team.
  • •Maintain the Map the Web repository as a well-documented, contributor-friendly open-source project and monitor dataset scaling/technical debt risks.

Key Requirements

  • •6-10 years in software engineering.
  • •Strong practical knowledge of HTML form structure, CSS selectors, and how login/signup pages diverge from spec.
  • •Experience building and maintaining structured, versioned datasets at scale with ongoing accuracy.
  • •Proficiency in TypeScript and familiarity with browser extension architecture and state/storage/sync mechanisms (plus).
  • •Experience designing automated or semi-automated data validation/grading systems to catch bad data before release.
