Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide on-site supervision of the LWD process, including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation, and QC.
  • •Serve as lead engineer on most jobs and ensure customer-delivered data is accurate, timely, and meets quality standards.
  • •Provide technical consultation on mud hydraulics, BHA planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, mud system and BHA dynamics.
  • •Test all tools and equipment before, during, and after each job, and identify/correct operational problems to prevent or minimize service impact.
  • •Complete required forms, databases, and reports including daily LWD reports and customer submissions; interface with the Directional Driller to ensure compatibility and specifications.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum two years of field experience in LWD.
  • •Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Proficiency with LWD software and ability to advise and analyze client representatives at the well site.
  • •Ability to read and interpret formation well logs and interpret directional survey information and other well site data.
  • •Possess relevant on and offshore safety certificates.
