Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the boiler system, ammonia refrigeration system, air compressors, and wastewater treatment system.
  • •Follow written and verbal procedures to comply with company and governmental regulations.
  • •Read, record, and interpret data from gauges, computer programs, and measurement equipment.
  • •Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on associated systems, and complete basic mechanical repairs (fans, pumps, valves, motors).
  • •Troubleshoot systems mechanically and electrically using schematics; install plumbing (excluding welded lines) and perform required water testing while maintaining and cleaning equipment/areas.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or GED) and 1+ years of related experience in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance, or 4 years’ direct experience in industrial mechanical maintenance/food manufacturing maintenance.
  • •Ability to work with or without supervision and follow written and verbal procedures to comply with company and governmental regulations.
  • •Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively utilize measuring equipment.
  • •Knowledge of electrical and plumbing is a plus, with prior experience reading schematics and hydraulic drawings preferred.
  • •May be required to work long hours and weekends; capable of meeting the physical requirements of HAZMAT Technician and holding relevant ammonia/boiler operator licenses (as listed).
