Key Responsibilities

•Operate a forklift as directed while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
•Read job specifications to determine operator adjustments and material requirements.
•Position forks/lifting platforms or other lifting devices to handle loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, and materials.
•Transport loads to designated areas, including hooking tow trucks to a trailer hitch.
•Perform routine maintenance (recharge batteries, lubricate, fuel, clean), weigh materials, record weights, and maintain housekeeping in the assigned area.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/equivalent and a minimum of two years of related experience in trades specific to the job requirements, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Pass an internal certification program.
•Ability to operate equipment controls (move levers, shift gears, depress pedals, and maneuver the steering wheel).
•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, stay organized, maintain accuracy, and work a flexible schedule.
