Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement solutions powering Honeycomb’s query and data storage infrastructure, including performance improvements and reliability work.
  • •Break down complex storage and querying problems into achievable steps, surface trade-offs, and take end-to-end ownership from design to production support.
  • •Collaborate with Product Management and other engineering teams from problem discovery through delivery, connecting technical solutions to product needs.
  • •Participate in on-call rotations, support services in production, and proactively reduce toil by addressing reliability challenges.
  • •Explore new technologies, data storage techniques, and query optimization strategies to maintain performance and reliability at scale.
