Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain existing renewals and develop new business with binder markets.
  • •Identify business development opportunities within brokers’ books and develop a regional prospects list.
  • •Conduct regular business development meetings with key brokers’ staff and market specialist products and services.
  • •Introduce new products to market, including development and delivery of product presentations to brokers, and maintain regional broker lists with system updates.
  • •Acquire and maintain senior level underwriting skills and underwrite/negotiate renewals for more complex accounts.

Key Requirements

  • •Post-graduate degree or certification, with CIP/FCIP designation or in-progress.
  • •Minimum 5 years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience.
  • •Demonstrable proficiency underwriting basic to moderately complex books of commercial property and casualty products, including coverage, pricing, and risk management.
  • •Demonstrable sales and marketing experience.
  • •Experience/exposure to financial management methods and the nature of insurance risk and reinsurance costs.
