Job Summary

Experienced Software Product Assurance Engineer to manage software quality for space projects, primarily Nyx Earth. You will establish and maintain SW PA&S requirements, develop QA programs per NASA standards, oversee V&V and audits, manage nonconformities, and collaborate with IV&V and hardware integration to ensure reliability, safety, and contractual compliance across the software lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

•Establish and maintain the SW PA&S requirements baseline in compliance with NASA/ESA requirements and best market practices.
•Develop and implement a SW Quality Assurance Program per NASA-STD-8739.8 covering SW activities across lifecycle.
•Develop, implement, monitor, and review SW QA plans.
•Conduct independent evaluations of software development processes for compliance with standards and safety requirements.
•Oversee verification and validation activities, ensuring traceability of requirements and exclusion of unauthorized functions.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor in engineering or technical sciences.
•Experience in software assurance/quality assurance, ideally in aerospace/defense.
•Strong analytical skills with experience in software lifecycle evaluation, configuration management, and V&V activities.
•Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for software development and scripting.
•Proficiency in managing non-conformances and corrective actions.
