Job Summary

Drive the implementation and day-to-day management of the operational risk management framework for the Wise US Broker Dealer franchise. Lead risk and control assessments, develop KRIs and risk appetite statements, design scalable control monitoring, and oversee issue remediation using Optro. Partner with first-line teams to map controls, validate closures, and ensure key operational risks are identified and mitigated ahead of new product launches, with reporting to risk committees and the board.

Key Responsibilities

•Implement and operate the enterprise risk framework with a focus on operational risk, including embedding risk/control self-assessments and issues management.
•Define key end-to-end business process risks and coordinate controls mapping and documentation.
•Design and support scalable control monitoring and dashboards to report KRIs and actionable insights.
•Oversee issue remediation activities using Optro to ensure risk-focused prioritisation and validate remediation closure.
•Coordinate quarterly residual risk assessments (loss and incident reporting) and support product launches by ensuring operational risks are identified and mitigated prior to launch.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 132,500 - 190,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Experience in financial services, ideally a broker-dealer (FINRA/SEC) or investment management/advisory firm, or in a fintech.
•Proven enterprise and/or operational risk management experience, including inherent and residual risk assessment and risk reporting.
•Experience supporting process-level risk identification and control mapping, including end-to-end investment services and operations.
•Ability to drive issue identification, logging, root-cause analysis, remediation planning, action tracking, validation/closure, and reporting.
•Comfort with data-driven problem solving for risk work, including designing/implementing KRIs, control monitoring dashboards, and analytics tools (SQL, Looker, Superset/Lightdash).
