Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead bridge, tunnel, and ancillary inspections with the Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team.
  • •Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections.
  • •Assist in preparing bridge and tunnel load ratings.
  • •Develop plans/sketches using AutoCAD and support preliminary design calculations and analysis.
  • •Provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers and help collect/maintain project documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
  • •Nationally Certified Bridge Inspector (NCBI) certification via an FHWA-approved comprehensive bridge inspection training course; certification must be current.
  • •5 to 10 years of experience in bridge, tunnel, ancillary inspection, design, or related infrastructure work.
  • •Engineer in Training certification (PE preferred).
  • •Proficient structural engineering knowledge and ability to perform extensive field work (including heights, adverse weather, and night work).
