Job Summary

Supervise mechanical maintenance activities to keep plant equipment reliable and available. Oversee preventative/corrective maintenance, overhauls, shutdown planning, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis to reduce downtime. Manage emergency breakdown responses, feasibility studies for modifications and new installations, and SAP-based maintenance documentation and work order processes. Ensure HSE compliance and lead material and spares planning for mechanical units while coordinating with internal teams and external OEM/EPC contractors.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance and overhauling work to ensure safe, efficient procedures.
•Maintain accurate mechanical maintenance documentation in SAP, including logs with faults, repair methods, time, labor, and materials.
•Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
•Troubleshoot critical mechanical machinery failures, review maintenance data, and conduct site engineering studies for modifications to improve reliability and efficiency.
•Plan and coordinate shutdown maintenance, manage manpower/budget/material forecasting for outages, and ensure HSE and quality compliance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
•7–10 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, including water desalination and power generation plants (at least 2 years in a supervisory role).
•Practical mechanical engineering know-how with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis using problem-solving tools.
•Knowledge of maintenance management methods, predictive inspection tools, and CMMS (SAP template desirable).
•Strong planning/organizing skills and people-management, mentoring, and coaching capability.
