Join Adyen’s Observability team to build and maintain scalable telemetry platforms that help engineers understand service behavior in real time. You will design APIs and data pipelines for high-throughput ingestion, tackle reliability and performance bottlenecks, and contribute to an ecosystem handling billions of events daily across logs, metrics, and traces.

Key Responsibilities

•Solve scaling bottlenecks in critical services in our Logging, Metrics, Traces & Alerting pipeline.
•Design and evolve APIs that will be used by other engineers in product teams, working together with them to identify pain points and opportunities.
•Identify and tackle bottlenecks and single points of failures in the architecture aiming to improve the reliability of the observability platform and the overall user experience.
•Drive features and products ideation, implementation and adoption.
•Collaborate on planning and refinement, providing input to achieve engineering alignment, quality and reduce dependencies; respond to alerts and assist with production troubleshooting.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience working with highly distributed systems.
•Expertise in designing and implementing APIs and data pipelines for high-throughput, real-time data ingestion.
•Experience improving software reliability across availability, performance, latency, efficiency, capacity, SLOs and incident management.
•Proficiency developing and maintaining software written in Go and/or Java.
•Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform).
