Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop MV switchgear (AIS, GIS, RMU) to meet customer requirements, cost targets, and market technology needs.
  • •Provide technical ownership of projects, coordinating global stakeholders and driving execution through design, testing, and implementation phases.
  • •Drive analytical/numerical modeling, calculations, and simulation first-approach to meet requirements, and continuously improve designs toward best-practice standards.
  • •Prepare and review technical documentation, including proper formats for tests and design documentation aligned with IEC 62271.
  • •Lead design work with responsibilities such as BOM and switchgear costing/cost reduction, production document release (BOM, design, test reports, tech manuals), and support routine/type test preparation and review.

Key Requirements

  • •B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical) or M.Tech/MS (Mechanical).
  • •9+ years of experience, including 5+ years in the design, development, manufacturing process, and testing of MV switchgear.
  • •In-depth knowledge of mechanism design and experience in prototype/product development for MV switchgear (AIS/GIS).
  • •Hands-on experience with MV switchgear routine and type testing procedures and practical testing experience.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong problem-solving and process management in ambiguous environments.
