Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform as a mermaid in underwater shows, meet-and-greets, and themed events.
  • •Deliver safe, engaging, polished guest experiences aligned with Atlantis standards, including choreographed or improvised routines.
  • •Assist with rehearsals, costume fittings, promotional activities, and daily operational planning for show and readiness.
  • •Follow safety procedures and emergency protocols; maintain compliance with the Atlantis Dubai Dive Operations Manual and division/department policies.
  • •Support training and development for Mermaid Trainees/Mermaids when assigned, act as a senior role model, and support Head Mermaid on show quality and standards.

Key Requirements

  • •2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Mermaid performance or comparable guest-facing aquatic/entertainment roles (e.g., synchronized swimming, freediving/diving, dance, theatre).
  • •Minimum 1 year of experience supporting training, mentoring, show standards, guest-facing program delivery, or operational ownership (preferred).
  • •Certified free diver with a recognized free diving certification.
  • •Recognized Mermaid certification.
  • •Must successfully complete annual departmental swim test and be able to hold breath underwater for extended periods.
