Job Summary

Safely and efficiently transport live birds from Pilgrim’s poultry farms to support production schedules. Operate and maintain commercial hauling equipment, follow delivery schedules, and ensure accurate documentation and communication with live haul personnel, live production teams, and farm staff. Adhere to transportation regulations, biosecurity protocols, and company safety/quality standards while keeping trucks and work areas clean and maintaining equipment through inspections.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate live haul trucks safely and efficiently and conduct deliveries per schedule.
•Perform equipment inspections and report issues to the Supervisor.
•Operate trucks to maintain product quality and integrity.
•Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with associates, maintenance staff, growers, and supervisors.
•Maintain equipment and keep trucks and work areas clean, and follow housekeeping schedules using required PPE.

Key Requirements

•12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience within the previous 36 months.
•Not eligible if the driver has a positive test for drugs or alcohol in the previous 5 years.
•Ability to drive safely and follow driving and traffic rules, with good hand-eye coordination.
•Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
•Must have the ability to operate a manual CMV.
