Job Summary

Work with semiconductor customers, sales, engineering, and alliance partners to define, document, design, and deploy NI products tailored to specific turnkey customer requirements. You’ll support semiconductor test development using NI test systems, including analog/digital validation, hardware integration into test platforms, and reliability and test-accuracy evaluation. Lead requirements documentation and project planning with milestone reviews, and travel (~30%) to support systems at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with NI customers, sales personnel, engineering, and alliance partners to define, document, design, and deploy NI products for customer requirements.
•Collaborate on semiconductor test engineering activities, including test program structure, hardware design, and fixture design in support of customer solutions.
•Create requirements documents for statements of work, and define/implement project plans with milestones and reviews to support deployments.
•Validate analog and digital circuits and data communication protocols based on device-under-test requirements; integrate NI modular hardware into turnkey test systems.
•Support and troubleshoot NI system development and urgent issues at customer sites, including improving tester performance (with domestic and international travel ~30%).

Key Requirements

•B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering Technology (or higher).
•3+ years of relevant experience in system design, application engineering, technical field sales, or test engineering design roles.
•Experience with RFIC or mixed-signal IC testing and validation, including RF FEM and on-wafer test concepts.
•Programming and test-system experience, including test case development and text-based programming (C++, VB, Java) plus NI test platform software (e.g., SmarTest, IG-XL).
•Major semiconductor ATE platform and instrumentation experience (e.g., V93000/Ultra/J750/Pax and SMU/VSA/VSG/VST/VNA/Power Meter), plus knowledge of measurement error, integration, and Cp/Cpk/GR&R.
