Key Responsibilities

  • •Draft appropriate correspondence and documents in response to incoming mail for assigned attorneys.
  • •Review and maintain weekly docket and coordinate with attorneys on deadlines.
  • •Prepare PCT and direct-filed foreign application documents, instruction letters, and filings.
  • •Coordinate execution and legalization of U.S. and foreign formal documents, as required.
  • •Prepare and electronically file USPTO documents (e.g., applications, IDS, assignments, declarations, extensions of time, powers of attorney, and responses to office actions) and produce docket/portfolio reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum two years’ experience as a Patent Legal Assistant (U.S., PCT, and foreign patent applications).
  • •Strong understanding of the patent prosecution process, including life cycle, deadlines, and procedures.
  • •High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • •Ability to prepare documents and correspondence for patent filings and USPTO/foreign filings.
  • •Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and iManage (CPi experience preferred).
