Job Summary

Own the test automation architecture and drive the Test Engineering strategy by designing and maintaining a scalable Playwright-based automation framework. Build maintainable TypeScript and Cucumber (BDD) test suites with standards, design patterns, and coding guidelines. Integrate CI/CD pipelines and improve quality metrics through shift-left testing. Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product owners, and support SAP QA enablement.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, and maintain a robust, scalable Playwright-based automation framework using TypeScript and Cucumber (BDD).
•Integrate the framework with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) to support automated UI testing and API validation.
•Implement automation standards, design patterns (POM, Screenplay), and coding guidelines, including reusable components and step definitions for Cucumber.
•Define and enforce testing strategy and roadmap, drive shift-left testing, improve coverage, and track quality metrics.
•Mentor QA engineers on Playwright, TypeScript, and BDD practices, and collaborate with developers, DevOps teams, and product owners during sprint ceremonies.

Key Requirements

•Strong expertise in Playwright automation framework and TypeScript scripting, with experience writing clean, reusable Playwright test scripts in TypeScript.
•Deep understanding of test design patterns (e.g., POM, Factory, Singleton) and async programming in TypeScript.
•Experience with Cucumber (BDD) including building reusable components, utilities, and step definitions.
•Hands-on experience integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
•Experience with reporting and observability tools such as Allure or Extent Reports, plus version control with Git.
