Key Responsibilities

•Lead the investigation and response to complex security incidents, ensuring proper containment, eradication, and recovery.
•Coordinate cross-team incident response efforts, document lessons learned, and refine response strategies.
•Perform root cause analysis to determine the origin of security incidents and prevent future occurrences.
•Monitor and analyse security alerts from SIEM, EDR, and other monitoring tools; fine-tune alerting to minimize false positives and improve detection.
•Mentor junior SOC analysts, delivering training sessions and tabletop exercises to improve team readiness.

Key Requirements

•Experience leading investigations and response to complex security incidents, with containment, eradication and recovery.
•Proficiency in security monitoring/alerting using SIEM/EDR tools, with ability to fine-tune detections and integrate new log sources.
•Strong Linux proficiency and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365) and IAM concepts.
•Experience mentoring and delivering training to junior SOC analysts, including workshops and tabletop exercises.
•Knowledge of threat frameworks (Cyber Kill Chain, NIST CSF) and vulnerability management/remediation processes.
